International relations

We manage the relations of our cooperative movement with international institutions, starting from the UN Agencies (ILO, FAO, UNIDO, etc.), with international networks civil society networks, with the governments of partner countries, and – above all – with the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA – of which Legacoop is a founding member) that gathers over 300 cooperative organizations from over 110  countries.

We believe in the exchange of knowledge and experiences at an international level as an opportunity for the growth of our movement.

To this end, we organize institutional meetings to promote knowledge of the Italian cooperative movement, we ensure advocacy activities towards the main international players to ensure that the cooperative model is recognized and promoted at an international level, we stimulate and facilitate opportunities for international meetings between cooperatives and between sectors, and we facilitate the participation of the Legacoop cooperative movement in international initiatives.

International Relations activities are managed jointly and synergistically with the activities of support for the internationalization of businesses and international development cooperation.
