In Europe

The Office for European Policies, Relations with the EU and NRRP manages the cooperative agenda by operating on two levels: European and national.

In Brussels, the Legacoop office represents the interests of its members within the European institutions. The cooperative business model and the social economy are actively promoted, while the European dossiers of greatest importance for Italian cooperatives are carefully monitored.

Among the latter, priority attention is given to the key subjects as the twin transition (green and digital), agri-food, new economic governance, industrial and cohesion policy.

At the national level, the implementation of EU policies is also followed with a focus on NRRP, structural funds and cohesion funds.

The office is continuously involved in training and informing the national and regional offices of Legacoop, as well as the associated cooperative enterprises.

Seminars and networking activities are periodically organized in Brussels and Rome, promoting meetings between representatives of the cooperative movement with Italian and European bodies and institutions.

In addition, Legacoop participates in European networks, both directly as Legacoop and through the Alliance of Italian Cooperatives.
