Development cooperation
In the spirit of the 6th Cooperative principle of cooperation among cooperatives and in line with the article 3 of its statute, Legacoop Contribute to the international diffusion of the cooperative model, particularly in developing countries.
Over the years, Legacoop has played a decisive role in building cooperative movements in numerous partner countries, making available the know-how of the Italian cooperative movement on issues such as cooperative legislation, representation models, development tools for cooperatives, to name a few. Today, to support the cooperative model in partner countries, Legacoop operates both directly and through Haliéus, the structure dedicated to international development cooperation.

Several member cooperatives and branches of Legacoop are directly active in promoting sustainable development in developing Coutries. To represent the plurality of initiatives promoted by the Legacoop movement, a Platform is now available that collects the projects and best practices of international development.
In addition to giving visibility and facilitating the international cooperation initiatives of member companies, Legacoop ensures the representation of the cooperative movement on institutional working tables related to development cooperation, promoting synergies with the main national and international players in the sector.
The activities of International Development Cooperation are managed jointly and synergistically with the activities of support for the internationalization of companies and International Relations
